We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Laboratory Research Scientist to join our Proteomics Scientific Technology Platform (STP) at the Francis Crick Institute. The post holder will be responsible for driving forward qualitative and quantitative proteomic and clinical proteomic projects, from experimental design through sample preparation to data analysis. Responsibilities and Expectations
Plan, execute, and oversee proteomics experiments using various biochemical methodologies. Develop, optimize, and apply next-generation proteomics and mass spectrometry methods. Work closely with the wider Crick scientific community to contribute towards key research projects. Skills and Qualifications
The post holder should have a PhD or equivalent experience gained through working in a mass spectrometry laboratory, including basic and advanced proteomic sample handling and processing protocols. The ideal candidate will also have detailed knowledge of proteomics-related bioinformatics and associated software packages, as well as experience with instrument maintenance requirements.
