The Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring quality control, managing laboratory equipment, and utilizing analytical skills to support the development and production of IPM products. Laboratory Supervisor

is to organise and assist in the efficient production of the company’s pheromone and attractant products in accordance with the company’s production planning to agreed specifications within economic time scales. Provide technical support and aid in the business development of the pheromone systems. Qualifications Supervisory Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team effectively Medical Technology: Knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques for Semiochemicals Quality Control: Experience in maintaining and improving quality standards Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities for data interpretation Laboratory Equipment: Proficiency in handling and maintaining laboratory equipment Excellent organisational and time-management skills Attention to detail and precision in work Experience in farming or biotechnology industry is a plus Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Ensure fair distribution of workload to laboratory assistants, whilst motivating and developing a cohesive laboratory team. Prepare compounds and solutions and apply them to dispensers for pheromone manufacture. Follow batch orders & monitor work practices to ensure that the product is produced to agreed specifications and adheres to quality procedures as in process instructions and process records. Prepare scientific or technical samples for testing activities. Maintain stocks of resources, equipment, and consumables for laboratory use. Work as an individual or as part of a team, in both cases to ensure optimum efficiency. Report to line manager where appropriate in the event of any problems that are or could prevent efficient or continual production. Maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams such as R&D team and QC analysis team. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice and comply with EHS regulations within the laboratory. Active involvement in monthly team meetings. Work in accordance with Health and Safety procedures. Support investigation for “Out of Specification” results or atypical results including raising the appropriate Quality System records such as LIR (laboratory investigation report), carry out cause and close out CAPA. Participate in COSHH assessments in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and implement and ensure health and safety guidelines are followed.
