Job Description

Position Summary Main job functions include testing and reporting of hose carcass adhesion, incoming goods, rubber compounds, and PU. Principle Accountabilities Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Tasks: In a timely manner, prepare, test (sometimes witnessed by outside inspection), and report carcass adhesions to quality standards for production hoses to certify products. Test and report PU hose covers and sample, mould, and test rubber compounds to the required standard. Sample, test, and label incoming goods and overage materials. Maintain efficient paper and electronic filing. Perform cord extraction from solvent-soaked serviced hoses and test. Sample, test, and adjust concentration levels of wash reagents from the P3 fittings tanks. Assist in training new staff and assist internal departments with their inquiries. Carry out internal calibration checks on laboratory instrumentation. Additional Information

Essential Experience Extensive laboratory and materials experience is imperative for this role. Requisite Knowledge Candidates must possess comprehensive knowledge in the following areas: Advanced understanding of chemistry or materials science In-depth comprehension of laboratory functions and operations Mastery of sophisticated laboratory techniques Proficiency in utilizing complex laboratory equipment Expertise in rigorous testing methodologies Mandatory Qualifications and Skills The following qualifications and skills are non-negotiable: 'A' level or equivalent in Science, Materials, or Engineering Demonstrable proficiency in laboratory procedures and information technology Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) for interaction with inspectors and internal departments Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision Superior organizational skills to effectively manage shifting priorities Please note that all candidates will be rigorously assessed against these criteria.
