About the role: Embedding HEINEKEN Herefordshire as the Global Home of Cider is a challenge we all embrace. Our historic Herefordshire heartland is home to the world’s largest Cider production site, our cider mill at Ledbury, and more than 10,000 acres of orchards. We also partner with local growers as we use 30% of all apples grown in the UK to make our celebrated cider brands. Our Lab Technicians play an important role in our cider process, supporting the Lab Team Leader within the quality department to carry out laboratory analysis, interpret data and maintain equipment (Analytical, Microbiological, Effluent, and Sensory). This role is diverse, offering you the chance to test samples from the brewing production of our beer right through to the delicious, finished product. Who we’re looking for: With your interest and exposure to lab work and qualifications in science and/or maths, you will be a self-driven and energetic individual who will be able to prioritise work to meet our business needs. We will train you up and support you, but it will be your natural ability to interpret data, spot adverse trends and cope with a changing environment that will really make you stand out. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and robust individual who can constantly prioritise and re-prioritise tasks, keeping colleagues updated on their actions in a way which instils confidence and trust.
