Working hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 6am - 2pm.

Please note no previous experience in a laboratory is required; full training is provided. We are keen to speak with people who are used to working in a fast-paced environment and have a willingness to learn new skills.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will perform routine tasks in the water testing laboratory. These tasks will support the preparation, analysis, and recording of samples.

Perform routine tasks to prepare and analyse water samples, including filtration and pipetting amongst others.

Operate laboratory equipment used for testing.

Use our internal laboratory system to record and maintain sample data.

Ensure accurate labelling, storage, and disposal of samples takes place.

Ensure that testing is completed within the required time frames.

Monitor lab supplies and inventory and restock where required.

Perform quality control testing where required.

Be aware of and always maintain good laboratory practice.

Lift and manoeuvre water samples around the laboratory.

Maintain a clean and tidy work space (i.e., take out waste, wash laboratory equipment).

Experience in a fast-paced working environment and working under pressure would be beneficial.

Computer literate.

Enthusiastic and willing to learn.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Good communication skills and a team player.
