Laboratory Testing Technician

We have an excellent opportunity for a Laboratory Testing Technician to join a world-leading engineering company specialized in developing products for the pharmaceutical and medical industries.

The Laboratory Testing Technician will work within the Engineering Department and assist with test setup, create appropriate test documentation, calibrate equipment, and maintain the laboratory area on a day-to-day basis. This position requires an individual who works well in a team setting and as an independently motivated contributor to ensure projects are accomplished with exceptional quality and on time. Duties And Responsibilities

Assists team members by preparing laboratory tests using correct equipment, materials, and approved processes. Assists with compiling, analyzing, and documenting results. Responsible for capturing test data. Responsible for the cleanliness and day-to-day maintenance of the laboratory area. Responsible for maintaining the Laboratory Inventory Database. Responsible for the in-house calibration of all the equipment within the laboratory and maintenance of external calibration schedules and evaluation of results. Assists the Laboratory Manager with business continuous improvement projects as required. Supports the Laboratory Manager with the maintenance of the ISO17025 accreditation. Contributes to the continuous improvement of the ISO17025. Supporting role in relevant audits. Actively supports the company’s Quality Objectives and contributes to Quality Management System activities as assigned. Experience And Skills Required

Ideally experience as a test, calibration, or laboratory technician. Experience in an ISO17025 accredited laboratory environment would be an advantage; however, it is not essential. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software packages. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously within set timeframes. Ability to follow procedures and methods and work well in a self-directed team. Must be computer literate with good communication and time management skills. Must be able to interact effectively and diplomatically with all company personnel under minimum supervision and be responsive to the requirements of department members and other departments with whom interaction is necessary.
