Job Description

Working hours are Tuesday - Saturday. 14:00 - 22:00. Please note no previous experience in a laboratory is required, full training is provided. We are keen to speak with people who are used to working in a fast-paced environment and have a willingness to learn new skills. As a Laboratory Technician, you will perform routine tasks in the water testing laboratory. These tasks will support the preparation, analysis & recording of samples. Preparation and analysis of samples utilising good laboratory practice. Ensure samples received are handled in accordance with documented procedures, including attention to temperature control, storage and maintenance of sample integrity. Maintenance of accurate and system records as detailed in the quality procedures. Work with Team Leader and Laboratory Manager to achieve daily targets, ensuring client turnaround time is met. Report any anomalies or concerns directly to your line leader. Ensure client contact is conducted in a professional manner and any client queries are dealt with or notified to your line leader. Maintain a clean working environment. Maintenance of laboratory fittings and equipment as directed. Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as required. Qualifications

Experience in a fast-paced working environment and working under pressure would be beneficial. Enthusiastic and willing to learn. Strong attention to detail and organisation skills. Good communication skills and a team player. Additional Information
