One of our well-established manufacturers based in Cheshire is looking to recruit an additional Laboratory Technician. Main Purpose of the Role: To support the whole Laboratory team with daily tests, checks, stock, and administration. Main Responsibilities and Duties: Conduct testing of uncoated and coated fabrics, recording results in dedicated software. Perform additional tests as required to ensure product performance standards are met. Calibrate laboratory equipment as per schedule or necessity. Organise and maintain the laboratory filing system when required. Monitor and maintain stock levels of laboratory consumables. Provide assistance to the Laboratory Technician and Assistant Laboratory Manager with daily tasks. Perform testing of liquor samples when necessary. Assist with colour corrections when required. Maintain and update the Works Order Spreadsheet. Conduct quality control checks on raw materials as needed. Cover shifts as required. Ensure that your workplace and working areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to the Company’s Health and Safety standards as outlined in the Health and Safety Policy. Comply with the Company’s internal quality procedures and standards. Undertake additional duties as directed by the General Manager, which may involve working in different departments or locations. Minimum Requirements: Prior experience in a textile or coating laboratory environment. A recognised qualification in textiles or colour chemistry. Experience in a textile manufacturing environment. Experience in colour matching. What else you need to know: Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.30-4.30 Onsite canteen and parking – local to all amenities
