Laboratory Technician
at our Swains Park plant in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. The site is easily accessible from Coalville, Tamworth, Lichfield, Cannock, Rugeley, Stafford, Burton Upon Trent, Derby, Castle Donnington, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Leicester, Lutterworth, Nuneaton, Birmingham, Solihull and the surrounding areas. Reporting directly to the Laboratory Manager, the
Laboratory Technician
is a key role which includes robust and rigorous testing of products to ensure they reach the correct quality, safety requirements and company standards. You will be responsible for carrying out product compliance testing, logging and reporting results, enabling corrective action to be taken. You will carry out testing of incoming raw materials and follow safe systems of work to ensure continuous production of finished goods with occasional shift work when required. Main responsibilities include but are not restricted to: Testing products from the Pozament and wider Tarmac business Safe operation of laboratory machinery Ensure equipment is within calibration Working to achieve laboratory safety goals Achieve laboratory KPIs ensuring customer demand is met The Ideal Candidate

Laboratory Technician
will be able to demonstrate an understanding of raw material usage in cementitious products to be able to make decisions during optimization of finished goods. They will have excellent time management to enable testing to be carried out in an efficient manner thus reducing any downtime with production waiting for direction.
