Our client is a leader in developing and manufacturing protective equipment. They are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to be involved in the testing and release of products. Responsibilities: Completing development, qualification, pre-compliance, and audit testing, supporting current and future certifications of respiratory protection products. Understanding test methods and updating documentation when/if required. Completing test equipment calibration as per schedule and supporting safety audits and risk assessments. Managing consumables for the test equipment that you will be responsible for. Working collaboratively within the R&D organization and closely with product engineers, product developers, certification, and compliance teams. Supporting the Quality management system to maintain current certifications and accreditation of the R&D laboratory. About You: Laboratory experience is essential, ideally from a manufacturing environment and using testing equipment to measure physical characteristics and performance. Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to understand and interpret data. Understanding of respiratory protection products (performance, testing, release criteria). Knowledge of respiratory protection testing requirements. Awareness of EN standards. Awareness of gas and vapor testing methods. Awareness of reusable respirators and powered and supplied air products. Proficient in Word, Excel, and Teams.
