We have an exciting new opportunity at Affinity Water to become a Land Liaison Manager. Affinity Water is currently leading on two of the nationally significant investment projects known collectively as Strategic Resource Options. The first scheme is the Grand Union Canal Transfer which will see water from the Midlands transferred by canal to help improve water supply in the Southeast. The role: As the Land Liaison Manager, you will be supporting the Head of Engagement, Land & Consents in the development of a strategy that seeks to engage and manage the interaction with those who own land or rights and are affected by the SRO schemes. These could be individual homeowners, commercial, or agricultural interests. This will involve influencing and negotiating skills to build relationships with those parties. Responsibilities: Support the team in the development and implementation of the strategy for engaging with landowners affected by the SRO projects. Support the development of the approach to compensation and any required discretionary schemes. Work with the supply chain to ensure all the products required for the submission of consent applications. Act as a land specialist across the portfolio team providing support and guidance as required. Be an advocate across the projects for good quality engagement. Essential Qualifications and Experience Required: Educated to degree level or equivalent. Experience of engaging and interacting with landowners affected by major contentious projects. Leadership skills within a project environment. Experience of Development Consent Order process. Experience of managing a supply chain, setting scope, and ensuring delivery is to the required timescales and quality. Experience of working within the water industry (desirable). The interview will consist of a face-to-face meeting in Hatfield where you will be asked a number of behavioural and technical competency-based questions.
