Potensis Selection are pleased to partner with a well financed, market leading residential developer who are seeking a Land Manager who can help the business deliver its business plan and continued growth over the coming years. Key Responsibilities: Land Acquisition Strategy : Lead in the identification, appraisal, and acquisition of strategic land opportunities. Provide high-level insights into regional development potential and advise on acquisition strategies to meet and exceed company goals. Project Oversight : Manage complex, high-value land acquisitions from initial feasibility to contract negotiation and final purchase, ensuring each project aligns with company objectives and financial targets. Stakeholder Relations : Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, agents, local authorities, and community representatives, to facilitate successful negotiations and long-term partnerships. Due Diligence & Risk Management : Oversee due diligence processes for prospective acquisitions, coordinating with legal, planning, and financial teams to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Market Analysis & Reporting : Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and shifts in the Southern Counties land market. Provide regular updates and strategic reports to senior management on the status of current and potential projects. Financial Analysis & Appraisals : Prepare and review detailed financial appraisals for land acquisitions, ensuring all transactions align with company’s financial models and profitability benchmarks. Mentorship & Team Development : Support the growth and development of junior team members by providing guidance, mentorship, and training on land acquisition processes and best practices. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination : Work closely with planning, development, and finance teams to ensure a seamless transition from acquisition to development, ensuring objectives and timelines are consistently met. Requirements: Extensive experience in land acquisition, land management, or property development, preferably within the residential or housing sector. Demonstrated success in securing high-value land deals and managing complex negotiations. In-depth understanding of land valuation, viability assessments, and financial appraisals with the ability to interpret market trends and financial data accurately. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. This role is ideal for an experienced land acquisition professional with a strong track record of success in high-value acquisitions and a strategic mindset.
