Our client is a leading name within the landscaping sector, they require an experienced Gardener to participate in the day-to-day maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include carrying out various garden tasks as requested, care of equipment and tools, and following instructions as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of one year experience in residential garden maintenance/soft landscaping, or a combination of transferable skills, love of working outdoors and keenness to learn & progress.
A basic knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in garden maintenance operations, standard horticultural practices (planting, pruning, fertilising, etc.) and growth characteristics and identification of a wide variety of plants.
Basic first aid certificate or greater.
Desirable: horticultural qualifications.
Desirable: PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates.
Desirable: Drivers Licence.
Physical aptitude to working outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions - physical demands include lifting and carrying, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, kneeling and repetitive motion.
Ability to take and follow instructions.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Great cooperation and team skills.
High levels of ethical conduct, including timekeeping and attendance.
Able to work autonomously.
High standards of work and attention to detail.
