- an exciting opportunity for an applicant with ideally 5 years experience in a similar position. We would like to welcome an enthusiastic, polite, hard working individual to our team. You must have a passion for the industry and be motivated to complete jobs to the very best standard. You must be able to install hard landscaping to a high quality, interpret plans/drawings, and set out sites including levels. Understand how to prepare and plant borders and handle/plant specimen trees/plants. The successful applicant will be responsible for a small team (2/3) of landscapers on site with the support and assistance of our project manager. You must have good communication skills with both team members and clients. We work predominantly in St Albans, Harpenden, and Berkhamsted, with some jobs up to about an hour from Hemel Hempstead. Applicants should ideally live locally to Hemel Hempstead and have a full clean driving licence. A company vehicle will be available for the right candidate. Specific job items to include: General groundwork (excavation, material movements) Paving (sub base preparation, laying and pointing) Bed Preparation Planting Decking Fencing Timber features (pergolas etc) Paths and edging Turf laying Water features - construction Key tasks in the role: Interpret scale plans and work schedules Assist with daily time schedules to agree and meet standard times for each task and the overall project Liaise with Project Manager and suppliers when ordering materials, to ensure they arrive on site on time Organisation of the site, materials and work order to help ensure efficient and effective work at all times for all team members Communicate with the client as required in a professional and friendly manner Use and take care of the company’s assets (uniforms, tools and equipment) Adhere to procedures and represent the Company’s best interests at all times.
