This post is aimed at at ST Higher level. The post will start as soon as possible. The post-holder will have the opportunity to gain experience in oncology that is similar to other junior posts in oncology. We encourage uptake of training opportunities and will support relevant courses for the candidate's education and training needs. The post will be based in the South West Wales Cancer Centre, Swansea. The role will mainly be supporting the inpatient unit, in addition to providing medical input to the chemotherapy and radiotherapy units. Even though the posts will not be recognised for training the successful candidates will have the opportunity to attend teaching and participate in audit, quality improvement and research projects where possible similar to the Wales Deanery Trainees. The successful candidates will also have dedicated educational supervisor. These posts will participate on the medical on call rota and have similar responsibilities to the training grades. There is a study leave budget available and associated funding will be considered by the Medical Director Office and approved for educational opportunities. About us
