I am currently working with an engineering business based in Grays, Essex who are a sub-contract sheet metal working company. Due to growth and an influx of work, they now have a requirement for a Laser & Press Brake Setter/Operator to join their existing team on the shop floor.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Laser & Press Brake Setter/Operator will be using Trumpf and Bodor Lasers and Bystronic press brakes of 80T and 160T. However, if you have knowledge or experience of other lasers or press brake machines, cross-training can be given.
The ideal candidate for the Laser & Press Brake Setter/Operator role will have: A good knowledge of laser setting and press brake machines. The ability to read engineering drawings. Gained previous experience in a similar role. Good communication skills.
In return, the Laser & Press Brake Setter/Operator can expect to receive a competitive salary, shift allowance, 33 days flexible holiday entitlement, and free onsite parking. The working hours for this role will be 1pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday, 1pm to 5pm on Fridays with 30-minute breaks; however, a degree of flexibility will be expected if there is the requirement to cover other shifts.
