Position Overview: We are currently seeking a
Personal Assistant
to support a Principal Partner within the
Employers’ Liability department . The successful candidate must have prior
legal secretarial experience , particularly within
personal injury , and should be proficient in
Microsoft Office . A strong command of
English spelling, punctuation, and grammar , along with an
audio typing speed of 65+ words per minute , is essential. The PA will be expected to be proactive, using a high degree of
self-management
and
initiative
to support the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing correspondence and documents through
audiotyping
and
word processing . • Managing digital filing, including the opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files. • Organising and dispatching correspondence and enclosures. • Managing the
fee earner’s diary , appointments, and meetings. • Providing support to other secretaries and the admin team as needed. • Attending to clients in person and over the phone, ensuring professional and friendly client care. • Maintaining confidentiality of all client documentation and information.
Requirements:
• Demonstrable
legal secretarial experience . • IT proficiency, especially in
Microsoft Office . • Strong command of
English spelling, punctuation, and grammar . • Excellent word processing and
audio typing skills
(65+ wpm preferred). • Experience in a
Personal Injury
or
civil litigation
law firm is advantageous. • Experience working with
Proclaim case management system
is beneficial. • Ability to work in a
fast-paced
environment, with
strong organisational skills .
