This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated, innovative, compassionate and clinically-experienced registered clinicians to join the newly established Learning Disability and Autism (LDA) Outreach Team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. These exciting new clinical leadership Band 7 roles will involve working in collaboration with other LDA Outreach colleagues, community learning disability and autism colleagues in addition to colleagues from 'The Brook' our 10-bedded Learning Disability and Autism inpatient unit. Our team will include broad multidisciplinary representation - Mental Health and Learning Disability nursing in addition to AHPs with Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy backgrounds. We are seeking an experienced mental health nurse with current NMC registration. Additionally, you will have clinical knowledge and experience of working with adults with a learning disability and/or autism. You will have advanced clinical leadership skills and be able to prioritise and manage workload. You should also have excellent safeguarding, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act knowledge in addition to advanced interpersonal, communication, formulation and risk assessment skills. A UK registered professional learning disability or mental health nursing qualification eg RNLD, RMN, Nursing Degree, Qualified Occupational Therapist with extensive learning disability and/or mental health experience, Speech and Language Therapist with extensive learning disability and/or mental health experience. Postgraduate qualification relevant to specialism or commitment to work towards. Further specialist training to masters equivalent level. Training to level 3 in Safeguarding Adults, Children and Young People: roles and competencies for Health Care staff or commitment to work towards. Excellent clinical assessment skills. Ability to manage change in a positive manner. Physical Skills
Ability to be mobile across a county-wide geographical area. Computer literacy. Knowledge
