Work as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team with the coaching staff to maximise the athletic potential of academy players in line with the club’s philosophy. Plan and deliver prehab sessions as well as multi-disciplinary aspects of the training schedule relevant to physical development and performance. Plan and deliver the physical development and nutrition strategies in the academy. Plan and deliver testing schedules across the whole Academy. Work alongside academy staff to identify individual physical needs and implement and deliver physical programmes as part of every players’ Individual Learning Plan (ILP). Manage a wide-reaching internship programme across the Academy Sports Science department including S&C and nutrition staff completing yearly appraisals for all staff. Monitor and provide support to developing players' nutrition for academy players. Complete and support 6 and 12 week player reviews for academy players from a physical perspective. Educate and support the part-time coaching workforce with regards to the integration of sports science. Monitor and analyse players' physical data providing staff with GPS reports effectively of the U18s players, benchmarking against 1st team players. Record and evidence all sports science in line with EPPP guidelines on Kitman labs. Attend courses for Continued Professional Development. Liaise with academy staff with all U18 player concerns daily. Act at all times in a manner appropriate to a representative of Doncaster Rovers Football Club. Ensure that all players in your charge also act in an appropriate fashion and in accordance with Doncaster Rovers Football Club's Academy Codes of Conduct. Ensure safeguarding standards are met and maintained on My Concern. Encourage good practice by promoting and championing the safeguarding policy and procedures. Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to. Promote the brand identity and increase Club Doncaster fan base through positive service delivery. Support the whole of Club Doncaster group to promote the events and the business as a whole, including additional support at Club Doncaster events such as the Big Bang. Act at all times with utmost good faith to the Club(s) and the Company. Devote full attention and ability to fulfilment of the duties required by the role. We are looking for an experienced sport scientist who has experience in the following: A good understanding of the physical development of young players, preferably within an academy setting. Experience in the support and preparation of developing athletes, with specific expertise in sports injury prevention/rehabilitation. Experience of developing conditioning and nutrition programmes for athletes. Experience in the support and preparation of Sports Science on and off field programmes to allow athletes to reach their full potential. Awareness of developing areas of research within sports science and how this can be interpreted into practices in experience in sports physiotherapy, and injury prevention and rehabilitation. Qualifications
A BSc in Sports Science or similar qualification. MSc in Sports Science or equivalent (desirable). BASES accreditation or willingness to work towards qualification. DBS. Driving Licence. About The Club
