Rquirements: - I hold a professional qualification to at least degree standard in Economics, Agriculture, or another numerate discipline, or have equivalent experience. - I have extensive experience in preparing and delivering economic and market analysis that strongly influences an industry, ideally from the beef and lamb red meat markets or other commodity-related markets. - I possess excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience, including delivering presentations to stakeholders. - I demonstrate an analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach. - I have experience in leading analysis and driving change, while providing coaching, mentoring, and training to support the development of colleagues. - I have strong interpersonal skills that enable me to build effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities are: - I will provide leadership in the analysis, interpretation, and commentary relating to pork, beef, and lamb agricultural commodity markets, both domestically and internationally. - I aim to establish a reputation as the figurehead of AHDB analysis in the pork, beef, and lamb sector, acting as a go-to contact for key industry stakeholders, the media, and government. - I will ensure that analysts covering the pork, beef, and lamb sectors produce analysis and insights that are directly relevant to key levy payer decisions, with key conclusions communicated clearly and demonstrable evidence of material impact on business decisions. - I will provide regular mentoring and support to analysts focused on areas related to farm businesses, the economic environment, wider agricultural commodity markets, and trade policy. - I will develop new concepts and insights that challenge existing thinking and influence the strategic direction of the industry significantly. - I will work closely with the Economics and Analysis Director and the management team to set the direction for departmental analysis and our position on key issues and trends. - I will manage and undertake specific significant analytical projects. - I will act as a role model for analysts in my area and across the wider division, demonstrating high-level analytical, influencing, and communication skills. - I will collaborate with other areas to leverage skills, data, and knowledge to add value and support the development of both divisional and wider AHDB outputs and strategies.
