The role:

Liverpool City Council is looking to recruit two Lead Auditors to join our Internal Audit Service. As a Lead Auditor, you will play a key role in shaping the Council's strategic direction by providing independent and impartial assurance, managing a diverse portfolio of audits, and handling multiple assignments simultaneously.

Supporting our Lead Audit Managers, you will be responsible for delivering clear and accurate reports, meeting client expectations, and ensuring that the Council's plan and policy objectives are met from an internal audit perspective.

We are seeking individuals with a proven ability to manage time effectively, scope audit assignments, develop testing strategies, and drive continuous improvements and positive change within a complex and multifaceted organisation. While the work will be varied, we are particularly interested in candidates with specific audit expertise in procurement, schools, and data analytics.
