I am looking to add a Lead C++ Developer to lead a talented team of software and test engineers to develop, implement and maintain safety-critical systems within a business that has grown by 70% in the last two years. The role of a Lead C++ Developer You'll be responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing a team of software and test engineers, encouraging a collaborative and innovative team environment by driving continuous improvement in software development practices and ensuring adherence to development best practices and company policies. You'll still be hands-on, getting involved with the coding side of the role with your team. Manage software development projects from inception to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Effectively manage projects by coordinating with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular updates, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Technical / Person Requirements Strong commercial experience in C++ development. Strong experience with Linux operating systems. Proven experience in developing safety-critical systems up to SIL2. Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools. Experience working in small to medium-sized teams where you have shown influence and positive change. You should currently be in a leadership role with proven team management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Experience in mentoring and coaching. Overall Package Info Base salary up to £75,000 dependent upon experience. Annual pay reviews/increases. 29 days holiday plus Bank Holidays. Flexible working hours. Health plan. Income cover.
