Lead Configuration Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Lead Configuration Engineer to join us and provide clear direction into the IPT on C&DM processes and tools, whether at System Requirements, System level, Software, modelling, or hardware. Day to day you will be expected to: Drive a pro-active approach into IPT's. Create a culture of encouraging new ideas and innovative solutions within the IPT and the Line of Business (LoB). Manage the team to deliver agreed Work packages into the IPT on cost and schedule. Act as a coach and mentor. Resolve C&DM issues within an IPT by making proposals and driving through solutions. Provide a C&DM Basis of Estimate (BoE) into Work packages. Build and manage Customer and Supplier relationships. Demonstrate self-management and development of self and others. Provide C&DM input to Business-wide Process Improvement initiatives. Provide C&DM training to all disciplines within an IPT as required. Develop and promote knowledge and use of PLM and associated Engineering tools. Experience we are looking for: Configuration Management Planning including generation and review of CM Plan. Configuration Identification. Change Control - Must have experience in operating Change Control Boards including Configuration status input to the Board. Configuration Status Accounting with emphasis on the generation of Configuration Baselines. Verification and Audit (led FCA/PCA). Working hand-in-hand with our engineering delivery teams to ensure the Project dataset is maintained and configuration controlled. You must have: A good understanding of Configuration Management in accordance with DEF STAN 05-57. Excellent practical understanding of the five key elements of Configuration Management: Planning, Identification, Change Management, Status Accounting, and Audit/Verification (essential). Experience of and practical application of CM2 methodology (desired). Configuration Management experience in the development of Safety-critical products. Use of Product Management Tools (essential) - Teamcenter version 13 (Unified) and SAP (desired). Strong Administration Skills with attention to detail - you are required to have a logical mindset.
