The Lead Financial Data Analyst is pivotal in delivering accurate and actionable revenue and margin outputs across all business verticals, ensuring their reliability for decision-making across the organisation. This role will provide insights into working capital metrics, support business budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes, and act as a key partner to the finance team to drive financial efficiency and strategic alignment. Produce accurate, timely revenue and margin reports for all business verticals, ensuring they reflect true performance Maintain and refine data models to calculate and monitor profitability at various levels Partner with finance to update financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with objectives and market trends and support annual budgeting processes Analyse historical performance to identify patterns and provide input into long-term planning Provide visibility into working capital metrics, focused on stock Challenge existing practices and propose improvements to optimise cash flow Develop and maintain dashboards to track key working capital KPIs in real time Work closely with commercial to align financial insights with broader business strategies Present data-driven findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, bridging the gap between financial data and actionable strategy Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data Implement robust data validation processes to minimise errors and discrepancies Collaborate with data engineering to maintain and enhance financial data pipelines and systems Develop and maintain automated dashboards to track revenue, margin, and other financial KPIs Analyse variances between actuals and forecasts, identifying key drivers and trends to inform future strategies Support ad-hoc financial analysis requests, providing quick and accurate data-driven responses Who are we looking for? Bachelors’ or Masters degree in related field and demonstrable experience in the field of Financial Data Analytics Expertise in Google Analytics, BigQuery, Tableau, SQL, and other data visualization and reporting tools Experience of working in a pressured environment, delivering against tight deadlines even when under pressure Experience of working within company and ethical rules and regulation Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Proven track record of working alongside finance teams in a collaborative environment IT literate including intermediate Excel What happens next?
