Lead Data Scientist

to join our highly talented GamesLab team. Role Overview As the Lead Data Scientist, you will be a part of a multinational team that specializes in data engineering, data science, data analysis, and user research. The Data Analytics Team provides insights and actionable results to a wide variety of teams and stakeholders across the organisation. We ally as a global team to develop cutting-edge data pipelines, reports, analysis, and machine learning applications to best support the games we publish. We work closely with the User Research Team, blending our respective expertise whenever relevant to create accurate, easy to digest and impactful UX reports. This role requires someone who can be based in or near Nottingham and attend the studio on a daily basis with some hybrid working. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Head of the department to align with studios and internal teams on strategic planning and data initiatives. Develop, share, and implement the PLAION game analytics roadmap and data services. Enhance PLAION's competitive edge through superior data initiatives for teams, studios, and partners. Manage the global data roadmap for both current and new games, ensuring its relevance and reliability. Coordinate data and analytical efforts across studios, products, and regions, prioritizing accordingly. Support product teams with new data use cases, providing expert consulting and fostering trust with partners. Lead, coach, and grow a team of data experts that can deliver insights and improve the performance of our games. Support the development of your team in their craft, providing mentorship on a regular basis. Develop, communicate, and implement the vision, roadmap, and operational strategy of the Data Analytics Team to deliver against the needs of PLAION business. Skills and Experience Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems Management, AI/Machine Learning/Deep Learning, a related discipline, or comparable work experiences. 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Strategy, Consulting, or related experience. Experience managing, coaching, and growing a team of Data Experts (international context is a plus). Proven record developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining complex and optimized scripts/models/data solutions in SQL, Python, and/or R. 3+ years of experience designing, sharing, and maintaining BI dashboards (PowerBI, Tableau). Effective communication skills, including presenting and sharing information with audiences across a wide array of technical expertise, culture, and seniority. Strong mentoring abilities and team spirit. Passion for video games. (Desirable) Experience working in the gaming, entertainment, or media industry. What we can offer you Relocation support.
