Lead Developer Required Hull/Hybrid £50k - £55K per annum

Principal IT are excited to be working with one of the region's leading businesses in helping them to secure their next Lead Developer. You will be tasked with working closely with the CTO to ensure the proper level of resource is assigned to each project and ensure your team is coding to the highest standard.

This role is a 60/40 split: 60% spent coding and 40% spent managing your team, doing code reviews, and helping the CTO with client presentations and delivering projects on time and in budget.

The Lead Developer role would be perfect for someone who is currently working as a senior developer and is looking to take the next step in their career.

Essential Skills

Fluency in multiple programming languages/frameworks and the full SDLC Strong project management skills, with experience ensuring projects are delivered individually and by the team on time and within budget, across multiple concurrent workstreams Possess people management skills with the ability to manage, measure, develop and grow a team Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members, be seen as a technical expert and champion best practices and effective standards and improve overall team code quality through code reviews, documentation and testing processes Ability to conduct line management functions efficiently and sensitively, including measuring performance, conducting appraisals, promoting continuous improvement and supporting recruitment A team player and an excellent communicator with all stakeholders, including clients and colleagues Strong problem-solving skills, with a process driven method to approach design solutions and a keen eye for user experience High-level of expertise in working with and developing on databases and RDBMS solutions (MS SQL preferred) High-level of expertise with developing using .NET Proficient in the use of HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript (ideally Vue.JS) Have effective and efficient time management skills Passion for technology, ongoing learning and client satisfaction Good understanding of information security, data protection and confidentiality practices and approaches Good leadership skills, facilitating the professional growth of the technical team through coaching, training and mentoring Have excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Understand and have experience in modern and varied application architectures, web development and APIs

Desirable

Experienced in the use of Vue.JS for building SPAs Experience of developing in Laravel/PHP Experience of geo-mapping formats, approaches or tools Experience of other databases (ideally PostgreSQL or Redis) and Object-Relational Mapping frameworks (ideally Entity Framework or Eloquent) Experience of Cloud services/technologies (ideally MS Azure) Knowledge of XML and JSON for defining content structures Experience of developing Power Platform/Power Apps/Power BI solutions Experience in data manipulation and analysis
