Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Practitioner to join our team at Birdham Pre School, all year round role. This role is essential in providing high-quality early childhood education and care within our nursery setting. The Lead Practitioner will be responsible for managing a team of childcare professionals, ensuring that all children receive the best possible support and guidance in their development. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing environment for children.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and staff to provide updates on children's progress and address any concerns.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of each child, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Lead a team of practitioners, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages children's exploration and learning through play.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Drive initiatives that promote best practices in early childhood education within the nursery setting.
Qualifications
A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is required.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care and education provided in the nursery.
Knowledge of current trends and best practices in early childhood education is desirable.
