Join us as an Endpoint Security Lead Engineer, and find your superpower. National Grid is hiring an Endpoint Security Lead Engineer for our IT & Digital department. This is a hybrid role based in Warwick. Key Accountabilities The Endpoint Security Lead Engineer role is a hands-on position with no direct people management responsibilities. The successful candidate will work with the Endpoint Security Manager and senior leadership to define the endpoint security strategy, and work with Security Engineers on its delivery. As Endpoint Security Lead Engineer your responsibilities will include: Endpoint Security Strategy and Design

Develop and execute endpoint security strategies, policies and best practices Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions

Implementation and Operations

Oversee the implementation and configuration of endpoint security tools across diverse device types (laptops, desktop, mobile devices, IoT, servers)

Leadership and collaboration

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for endpoint security, providing guidance to team members and other departments Provide technical leadership and mentoring to a team of security engineers, fostering skill development and ensuring alignment with security goals Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and security teams to integrate endpoint security into broader organisational security initiatives

About You Experience Proven experience in endpoint security management or a related cyber security role (at least five years) Hands-on expertise with endpoint protection platforms (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike, Symantec, McAfee) Familiarity with IT asset management and device configurations management tools Skills Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills In-depth understanding of endpoint security principles and technologies Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android) Proficiency in scripting and automation for security tasks Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills More Information A competitive salary between £65,000 - £80,000 – dependent on capability. In addition to your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
