As the Lead Engine Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and optimisation of Unreal for our upcoming AAA title. Covering a wide variety of areas, including animation, audio, and streaming, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision and architecture to deliver our ambitious vision. Working closely with the wider Engineering team, you will provide guidance, mentorship, and ensure the delivery of high-quality code. Key Duties Include

Lead the Engine team to design and implement cutting-edge systems and pipelines Collaborate with all disciplines to ensure robust and scalable solutions that service the needs of the project Assume ownership of key engine systems and features, ensuring their quality and performance Identify and address technical challenges and bottlenecks in the development process Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering their growth and development Contribute to the overall technical vision and roadmap of the studio Work effectively and independently with minimum guidance, taking initiative to strive for excellence at every opportunity Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in gameplay engineering Minimum Requirements

Extensive experience as an Engine/Systems Engineer on multiple shipped AAA titles Deep understanding and experience of Unreal Engine, and knowledge of how to leverage it to its fullest potential Extremely strong proficiency in C++ and understanding of code architecture best practices Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work well in a collaborative and dynamic team environment Passion for creating innovative and immersive gameplay experiences Desirable

Proven track record of leading and managing a team of engineers Experience working on open-world or highly immersive titles Experience working on current generation consoles Experience planning and delivering large bodies of work throughout the full project lifecycle Benefits
