Lead Engineer - HV Integration and Validation

to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our

Engineering Manager – Powertrain System Validation , you will

be responsible for leading the integration and validation of the Electric Powertrain sub-systems as they are developed into high volume vehicles. Requiring significant travel, the role will direct external T&V engineering teams whilst also co-ordinating and presenting the output of internal team members. This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our offices Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field. What you’ll do · Ownership of the integration and validation of the high voltage and thermal systems as they are developed into production vehicle solutions. · Management of external Engineering Service Providers and contract staff ensuring that appropriate support is available to keep a test fleet operational whilst also delivering a generated test plan to time and budget. · Supporting the Engineering Manager to ensure that appropriate tools and data management is in place to allow effective execution of testing plans, both in vehicle and rig applications. · Technical specialist and demonstrator of best practice to lead by example and be able to support validation activities including particularly challenging issues. · Working with delivery managers to represent and report KPIs to reflect progress of the validation tasks associated with the vehicle programme. Who you are · Significant experience of Electric Powertrains (Battery to Driveshaft) within an automotive engineering environment, degree qualified in a related engineering discipline. · Proven track record of creating and executing test and validation plans. · Experience leading engineers and managing operational and logistical challenges. · Demonstrable understanding of electric powertrain architectures and underlying principles and technologies including thermal management, HV harnessing, electrical safety systems, serviceability and control strategies. · Experience diagnosing issues and analysing vehicle data using appropriate software packages. In depth experience of measurement tools such as Vector CANalyzer and calibration tools such as ETAS INCA essential. · A comprehensive understanding of the V-Cycle and its application in an automotive environment.
