Lead Engineer - FM Service Provider - Newcastle - £47,000

An exciting opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading FM service providers. CBW is currently looking for a Lead Engineer to be based in the North East to cover mobile contracts throughout the region. The successful candidate will be air conditioning biased, looking after one other engineer on site. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £47,000, plus overtime.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Report directly into the Account Manager Assist the Account Manager in the day-to-day running of the contracts in the region. Ensure that all activities within the building are undertaken with a professional and conscientious outlook regarding the quality of work and Health & Safety. Maintain excellent standards of response to plant failures and completion of assigned work, addressing any abnormal operating conditions and housekeeping issues proficiently. Act as a coordination point for day-to-day activities on site, liaising with specialist service partners and building relationships with clients/tenants. Assist in the management of all maintenance staff on the contracts. Arrange specialist sub-contractors. Manage all reports and site log books. Ensure all paperwork is up to date on each contract and ready for audits. Attend client meetings if required. Ensure work is issued/completed on satellite sites. Carry out hands-on M&E / Fabric maintenance (50% Hands-on / 50% Lead Engineer).
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday (40 hour week) 08:00am to 17:00pm
Requirements
Qualified in Refrigeration Air Conditioning C&G / NVQ Level 2&3 - Essential FGAS 2079 Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates A proven track record in commercial building maintenance Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients. Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload. Offer technical support to the Account Manager, client, and onsite maintenance team. IT knowledge/skills. Able to navigate the CAFM system.
