Summary: Lead Engineer will manage, mentor, and coordinate activities for the Engineering Team. Responsibilities include working independently and collaboratively with the Engineering team to design, develop, and sustain the existing valve product lines. These valves are essential for meeting customer needs and market demands. Primary product responsibility includes trunnion-mounted ball valves, with additional work involving gate, globe, check, and floating ball valves. Utilize current manufacturing and business systems for cost analysis, inventory management, and purchasing information. Develop comprehensive engineering documentation, including drawings, schematic diagrams, and material specifications. Conduct problem studies to recommend upgrades and improvements for existing products in both field and lab environments. Perform product testing functions in test lab facilities or field locations. Successfully complete assigned projects. Job Duties/Responsibilities: A recognized leading authority in the engineering field, both within our organization and by other experts in the industry. One of the final points of authority in complex engineering problems. Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff. Check work for accuracy and completeness. Execute special, complex, and advanced level technical studies. Make independent decisions within broad guidelines and policies. May recommend staff selection, training, discipline, and remuneration. Skills/Knowledge: Possess advanced knowledge of engineering standards, including relevant industry codes and regulations. Must be able to understand all phases of field operations and equipment, with a focus on your department or work group’s expertise. Demonstrate advanced expertise with Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Word and Excel. Proficient with Solid Works or similar engineering design software required. Education: BS in Technical discipline. Experience: 5+ years of experience in design and product development. Previous people leadership position is desired.
