Yes Responsibilities:

Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company. Lead the full design and development of CAD, administration activity; BOM (Bill of Materials), DVP (Design Verification Plan), Family Tree and Release activity in-line with the companies NPI process and customer specific process. Lead the team through idea generation and problem resolution through day-to-day working and structured Design Reviews. Guide engineers implementing GD&T into designs. Work closely with the Engineering Analysis team (FEA) to meet design targets and drive the most cost-effective solutions. Work closely with Manufacturing to agree feasible manufacturing solutions and to control the engineering change process. Ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) philosophy is integrated into designs. Communicate with the Head of Engineering to ensure you have the required level of support and help when required. Support Programme team to ensure project deliverables are achieved. Communicate design solutions to internal stakeholders and external customers. Maintain communication with internal and external customers on a regular basis. Lead the sign off process relative to your commodity in line with NPI guidelines. Participate in formal and on the job training which will be provided regarding the use of software and design techniques. Support and mentor the engineers within your team with your experience and knowledge. Essential Skills:

Engineering degree or equivalent within a relevant subject. Experience and Knowledge within BIW Structures. Strong ability to use CAD and understand CAE Literacy using Catia V5. High level of Engineering design knowledge. GD&T, can demonstrate good understanding. Ability and awareness of design to manufacturing process. Understanding importance of managing engineering change requests and claim management. Ability to work efficiently within your role. Understanding of budget management. Strong communication skills. Excels in organisational skills and time management. A drive to learn and improve at every opportunity. Willingness to support others. Positive attitude towards mastering challenges and changes. Desirable Skills:

Experience preparing and managing a budget. Experience of leading a team of engineers.
