Salary and Benefits: Competitive Company Van and Fuel Card 24 days holiday per year Pension with 4% salary sacrifice scheme and employer contribution Death in Service benefit of 4 x salary Employee Assistance Programme Cycle to Work Scheme Eye Care Vouchers The Role As our Lead Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for providing assistance to the Gas Supervisor and any necessary support for the day-to-day supervision of the delivery of gas service, repair, and maintenance contracts to an agreed programme, budget, and quality within the company’s operational targets. Responsibilities: Carry out inspections, diagnose faults, fit parts, and perform repairs related to all aspects of heating and hot water systems. Conduct heat loss calculations. Perform quality checks of completed servicing and repair works. Undertake gas servicing. Test smoke and CO alarms. Complete job sheets/PDA for every task, daily log sheets, and weekly time sheets. Comply with safe working practices, ensuring the safety of colleagues and the public. Liaise with colleagues to ensure a high-quality service and customer satisfaction. Deliver planned commitments to the client, ensuring agreed KPIs and service levels are met. Supervise and train apprentices in line with Aston Group’s policies and procedures. Maintain high standards of customer service for all internal and external activities. Follow the company’s Health & Safety Policy at all times and adhere to related safe systems of work. Care for and maintain the vehicle; wash the vehicle and clean the interior; take the vehicle to the garage for maintenance and repair. Report any vehicle malfunctions to management promptly. Work towards Aston Group's target of reducing carbon emissions by following guidance on energy efficiency. Adhere to the Health and Safety Act of 1974 by following provided guidance. Assist with all reasonable management instructions. Support the supervisor in day-to-day tasks. Provide technical advice and support for the team. Cover the supervisor role when required. Complete CP12 certificate checks when necessary. Liaise with the client, providing information and support with jobs. Order parts and manage van replenishment when required. Working hours will be

Monday to Friday, 08:00 am to 17:00 pm , with flexibility required for occasional overtime. The Candidate To be considered for our Lead Gas Engineer role, you will have the following skills and experience: Qualifications: ACS / Gas Safe qualified with relevant experience. CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1, CENWAT certifications. Energy Efficiency certification. Unvented Hot Water certification. HIU experience. Heat Pumps (desirable, not essential). Gas fires knowledge. Cylinder experience. HRU knowledge. Experience: Minimum of 5 years gas servicing and breakdown experience. Experience as a qualified heating/gas service engineer in communal and/or domestic premises. Ability to train in the use of PDA devices. Ability to train in the use of a computer. Skills/Knowledge: Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effective time management and organization of workload. Intermediate level user of Microsoft Office. Ability to learn new software packages. Ability to work as part of a team. Valid full clean driving licence is required.
