Lead Internal Quality Assurer (NVQ) This is a Nationwide, home-based role where travel will be required at key times in the year between Head offices, training hubs, and external providers - applicants must consider when applying.

Job purpose: As the Lead Internal Quality Assurer for my client's NVQ provision, you will uphold high standards in assessment and instruction for apprenticeships and standalone awards, ensuring compliance with Ofsted, ESFA funding, and Awarding Body standards.

This role requires significant construction or house-building experience and a relevant higher education qualification, such as a construction degree. You will manage your own caseload of internal verifications, coordinate others, oversee sampling plans, and conduct observations and quality checks on assessments and teaching, as well as compliance and quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities extend to: Maintain training and quality improvement plans, implementing findings, monitoring long-term suitability, and adjusting for changes to regulatory or sector needs. Liaising and consulting with customers, outside agencies, professional bodies, and government departments to ensure qualification and training programmes meet their qualitative requirements and ensure quality assurance procedures are effectively maintained. Maintaining Client's accreditations, including ESFA, OFSTED, CITB, NVQ Awarding Organisations, and other bodies as appropriate. Act as mentor lead for new assessors completing induction programme and assessor/internal verifier awards. Supporting the ongoing review and development of business processes and systems used to deliver an efficient service. Coordinating and leading NVQ standardisation days for internal and external assessor staff, contributing to and delivering best practice training for apprenticeship standardisation days as required.

Skills required: You must have a background of/with a higher education from the construction industry with/from housing building. Extensive technical knowledge of house building and the governing legislative framework it works within. Experience working for a commercial Independent Training Provider, working with external educational organisations and regulators. Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to negotiate/communicate and influence effectively at all levels. KPI compliance including preparation of reports, data manipulation, and distribution of key trends. Highly organised with agile and efficient working practices, thorough problem-solving ability, and investigative approach. Able to ensure compliance with Awarding Organisation/Funding agencies requirements (where applicable).

Relevant assessment qualifications such as the following: D32/33, A1 or level 3 award in Assessing competence in the workplace. Internal Verification qualification/certification such as D34, V1, TAQA (practical application) Level 4 award in Quality Assurance. Relevant construction industry qualification at level 6 EG Construction Management Degree, NVQ Site Management or Senior Site Inspection or similar.

Note: Due to the nature of this role, an Enhanced background check will be required and administered by clients admin team, subject to an offer being made.

Salary:

Up to £50,000 In addition, up to £7,500 Regional Allowance depending on location + bonus and very good benefits.
