Main purposes of job: The Lead Internal Verifier (IV) is a critical role within the RMF Training Academy, ensuring the highest standards of training delivery and compliance with awarding body requirements across the construction, rail, equine, and criminal justice sectors. The role includes providing strategic oversight of quality assurance processes, mentoring trainers and assessors, and ensuring learners receive industry-leading education. The position plays a pivotal part in supporting the RMF Training Academy’s mission to deliver skills development aligned with market needs and compliance standards. Quality Assurance and Verification:

Lead the internal quality assurance process for all qualifications and training programs. Ensure compliance with awarding body standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular sampling and verification of learner portfolios to maintain consistency and quality. Oversight of all EQA monitoring visits and registration/certification processes. Trainer and Assessor Support:

Provide mentoring and professional development to trainers and assessors. Monitor and evaluate trainer performance, offering feedback for continuous improvement. Learner Experience:

Oversee learner progression, ensuring training aligns with individual needs and career goals. Address learner feedback to maintain high satisfaction rates and outcomes. Stakeholder Engagement:

Liaise with awarding bodies and external verifiers to maintain accreditation and quality standards. Build and sustain partnerships with employers and industry stakeholders to ensure programs meet sector demands. Compliance and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of verification activities, compliance audits, and outcomes. Provide reports and updates to the Director of Quality on training quality, performance, and areas for improvement. Curriculum Development:

Support the development and refinement of training materials to reflect industry standards and best practices. Contribute to curriculum innovation, particularly in addressing skills gaps in construction, rail, equine, and criminal justice sectors. Risk Management:

Identify risks related to non-compliance or quality gaps and implement mitigation strategies. Required Experience and Qualifications: Extensive experience as an Internal Verifier or similar role within a training or education setting. Strong knowledge of awarding body requirements and quality assurance standards. Experience in sectors such as construction, rail, equine, or criminal justice training. Proven track record of maintaining compliance and achieving positive learner outcomes. Excellent communication and mentoring skills. Experience with curriculum development and innovative training methodologies. Familiarity with government-funded and employer-led training programs. Project management certification or experience. Key results/objectives: Achieve 100% compliance in all awarding body audits and external verifications. Where issues arise, implement and monitor comprehensive action plans. Maintain learner satisfaction rates above 95%. Support trainers and assessors in achieving consistent high-performance standards. Foster strong relationships with industry stakeholders to enhance employability outcomes for learners. Any additional information: Must be able to travel between sites; a full clean driving licence and use of a car is preferred. Basic DBS required. Must be able to work flexibly and during unsociable hours, as and when required. Seniority Level
