Take a closer look at the role: Job Description We have an opportunity for a talented Lead IT Event Support Engineer to join the travelling race team. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers to provide IT support to our travelling end-users, employees and guests. You and your team will be responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of the IT solutions that run within the trackside environment. Team members are encouraged to challenge established thinking and share their ideas to create an environment where everyone can contribute to our shared success. What you will be doing: Lead the Event IT Support Team to setup, support, operate and maintain the race team IT infrastructure, bespoke applications and supporting solutions. Travel with the Team to Grand Prix, Test Events, Film Days providing the team and its guests end user IT support. Act as a primary Liaison between internal departments and external service providers to ensure the delivery of IT services. Take ownership of IT trackside issues and requests, delegating tasks to other members of the IT event team and managing escalations with suppliers of trackside services. Collaborate with other IT teams for more complex issues or problems that require higher-level support. Assist in the creation of Policies and Procedures to ensure smooth and consistent support operations. Demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role within a travelling motorsport environment. Be highly experienced in supporting and implementing LAN, WAN and SD-WAN. Have extensive experience in supporting and implementing Windows operating systems (server & client), virtualization and HCI technologies as well as a working knowledge of Linux-based systems. Support IT hardware, ranging from end user devices to servers. Exhibit excellent analytical skills and proven experience in fault finding and problem solving. Demonstrate a “can-do” flexible attitude and a “calm head” under pressure. Possess clear and concise communication skills both verbally and digitally. Ability to prioritize workloads in a time-pressured environment managing personal and team deadlines. Ability to work at height. Relevant certifications: CCNA, MCP, MCSE, VCP or equivalent.
