We’re seeking an inspiring and experienced Lead M&E Engineer to join our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that enhance energy and water efficiency across the UK. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll collaborate with our Business Development, Commercial, and Operations teams, providing technical expertise from project inception to completion. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape the technical direction of major projects, conduct in-depth design calculations, produce detailed reports, and engage directly with clients to ensure project success. As the technical lead, you’ll spearhead large-scale initiatives involving technologies like GSHP, ASHP, and Solar PV, while mentoring a dynamic team of engineers to uphold the highest standards in the industry. Produce design data and sizing calculations for projects, including: GSHP and ASHP systems District and Communal Heating Systems Other low carbon technologies Lead and manage large scale engineering projects from bid conception through to project completion and handover Conduct site surveys and report on findings to clients Undertake site and technology assessments to assist in funding applications for clients Provide peer review support to engineering team, alongside Head of Engineering and Head of Design Full technical design and report writing as part of tender responses, project work, and construction as-built documentation Carry out technical surveys in domestic and/or commercial properties for energy or water efficiency related upgrades. Minimum Requirements:

Engineering degree (BEng/MEng) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services. Obtained or working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with CIBSE, IMechE or IET or already chartered. Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the Energy industry. Good IT skills, particularly MS Office (Excel and Word). Proven experience in engineering and energy analysis, particularly in the design of hydraulic and renewable heating systems. Skilled in modeling energy consumption and carbon emissions to optimize project outcomes. Strong ability to interpret design information, including PIDs and schematics, with a solid understanding of system design. Experienced in bid and project management, with a track record of delivering on time in high-pressure environments. Expertise in renewable and low carbon technologies, including GSHP, ASHP, Solar PV, battery storage, and CHP/grid parallel connections. Proficient in building and plantroom surveying, with experience in both commercial and domestic building system design. Competent user of Autocad software, with knowledge of Revit software being highly advantageous. Exceptional communicator, capable of building strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and clients. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strategic approach to planning and organizing complex projects. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment, with the ability to lead and take initiative when needed.
