The Role: We are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer who will be responsible for leading and creating high-end robotic solutions for a global manufacturing leader. The responsibilities of the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer: Work with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (3D) on mechanical drawings and manage in-depth questions from the rest of the team. Work with project teams to create mechanical solutions and drive our innovation forward. Assist senior management in creating and managing projects to further the company's development. Lead the mechanical team to develop innovations together. Ensure that all designs are fully specified, released to consistent high standards and on time. As projects expand, you may have the opportunity to lead and manage external development teams to deliver larger-scale solutions. The successfully appointed Lead Mechanical Design Engineer: Bachelors in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent time-served experience. Working experience with automation and/or robotic systems. Leadership skills; equipped with strong and effective communication, interpersonal & listening skills.
