Coalville This is a days-based role, suitable for a Lead Mechanical Engineer with a mechanical bias, who has strong planning and CMMS experience. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role that blends hands-on technical work (20%) with planning and strategic development (80%). You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our plant operates efficiently and reliably while driving improvements and supporting the transition to a computer-based maintenance management system. Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Management:

Assist in the migration to a fully computer-based maintenance management system, ensuring seamless implementation. Team Development:

Analyse root causes of mechanical issues, review technical drawings, and mentor the mechanical team to enhance skills and productivity. Capex Project Implementation:

Plan and execute plant and maintenance capital expenditure projects, ensuring activities are conducted safely, on time, and within budget. Subcontractor Oversight:

Manage subcontractors on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards. Plant Improvements:

Identify and eliminate recurring plant issues through innovative engineering solutions. Reliability Optimization:

Drive improved plant reliability by adopting and applying industry best practices. Requirements for the Lead Mechanical Engineer:

Mechanical Bias Minimum Level 3 Engineering Qualification / Apprenticeship trained Experienced working in heavy industries such as mining, quarrying, clay etc. Experienced working on CMMS systems Strong organisation skills Benefits for the Lead Mechanical Engineer:
