4x8hr shifts Mon-Thur (wk 1) Tue-Fri (wk 2) 1800-0200 (30hr week) About us We are looking for a Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Veterinary Specialists Scotland (VSS), a multi-disciplinary referral hospital located at Deer Park, Livingston, close to Edinburgh and Glasgow. You will join an established night team, working a shift pattern of 30 hours a week over 4 evenings, which facilitates a consistency of care, an overlap with all 3 teams, and an attractive work-life balance. Responsibilities: Lead the Night nursing teams and the Night VCA team. Collaborate with the Head of Nursing Services, other Team Leaders, Lead Nurses, and PCAs to ensure outstanding patient care. Maintain a happy and efficient working environment while adhering to practice and group policies. Provide performance reviews, training, and coordination for team members. Spend approximately 90% of the working week on operational clinical duties, providing excellent service to patients. What kind of person you need to be: Highly motivated self-starter with a desire to provide the best clinical service. Able to work as part of a team and individually. Willingness to learn and develop clinical skills. A passion for mentoring and training colleagues. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a referral setting and demonstrate effective scheduling and supportive team leadership skills.
