About us

We are looking for a Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Veterinary Specialists Scotland (VSS), a multi-disciplinary referral hospital located in Deer Park, Livingston, close to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

You will join an already established night team, working a shift pattern of 30 hours a week over 4 evenings, facilitating a consistency of care and an attractive work-life balance.

The Night Nurse Lead will be responsible for the efficient and effective leadership of the Night nursing teams and the Night VCA team. You will work closely with the Head of Nursing Services (HONS), other Team Leaders, Lead Nurses, and PCAs across the Practice to ensure the efficient delivery of outstanding patient care. This role requires strong, inclusive, decisive leadership, clear communication, and the ability to inspire and motivate the team to deliver the Linnaeus nursing strategy and achieve the practice’s goals. Approximately 90% of the working week will be spent undertaking operational clinical duties as part of the nursing team.
