Main duties of the job Management and leadership of the workforce of specialist nurses within Cardiology services. Responsible for the assessment, planning, diagnosis implementation and evaluation of care, as an autonomous practitioner with highly specialist cardiology skills. Nurse prescriber within speciality of cardiology. Be involved in the strategic review of clinical services as appropriate with hospital and with service partners. Be responsible for implementing a clearly defined integrated approach to patient care encompassing new treatments and evidence-based care. Provide specialist advice and guidance to adult cardiology patients. Work closely with the cardiology consultants and cardiology operations manager to support the cardiology service and to determine and deliver the optimal model of care for the service.
