Lead Operations Manager Surrey Here at Ringway we are recruiting for a Lead Operations Manager working on our Surrey highways contract. This role will involve overseeing all Operations and Maintenance, managing and maintaining the integrity, safety and levels of service across the Project Network. Key tasks and responsibilities Oversee operational health, safety, and environmental matters, promoting continuous improvements. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Ensure compliance to CDM regulations, the role of Principal Contractor under CDM regulations is executed for all maintenance activities and works. Collaborate with the HSE team to ensure safe construction and maintenance practices. Develop, implement, and improve plans and strategies for the highway maintenance service Align operational strategies with the long-term goals of Ringway and the client(s), local businesses, neighbouring authorities, and public inquiries. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Represent the Highway Service at meetings with client(s), local businesses, neighbouring authorities, and public inquiries. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Manage operations to achieve performance targets set within the contract. Deliver business plan objectives and support the Service Director in achieving operational goals. Deliver a responsive, customer-focused maintenance and operations service. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery. Taking an active involvement in the wider industry and developing their personal standing in technical bodies etc. Requirements Full driving licence Previous experience in a similar role i.e. Operations Manager, Director etc. Sound understanding of Health, Safety & Environment, relating to the industry, highways environment and activities Good working knowledge of highways, leading a team within an operational environment Numeracy skills to manage budget Pragmatic and ability to create solutions that meet daily needs of the service and business Good understanding of sustainability and carbon impacts of highway service Competence in writing procedures and setting up systems which reflect and promote the best practices of customer care, quality, value for money, continuous improvement, and equality of opportunity in service delivery Please apply for more information
