Little Mountain Church of Christ is a strong, authentic and welcoming Kingdom Community, with a solid foundation in God’s word and in prayer.
We are located on Sunshine Coast, 90km from Brisbane’s CBD, on the Church of Christ Campus with a Retirement Village, Community Housing, Aquatic Centre and Café.
Lead Pastor
We are looking for a Lead Pastor who is willing and able to work with the Eldership to provide responsibility and oversight for spiritual leadership, particularly:
Missional ministry at campus, the local community and beyond.
Provision of pastoral care support for the congregation and community.
Assisting in leading the coordination of corporate worship activities and ministries of the church.
Identifying and developing staff and volunteers for participation in the Ministry Leadership Team.
We are seeking a Lead Pastor who has the following leadership qualities:
Integrity, a servant heart, a mature love for God and commitment to minister to His people in the church and community.
Team leader who promotes collaboration, unity and development of others.
Build and prepare teams of leaders and volunteers for ministry.
Ability to implement long-term vision including foundational prayer, embedded discipleship, community presence and sustainable leadership.
Ability to prioritise strategy and delegate tasks effectively.
Models ongoing personal, spiritual formation and self-care within the context of the team.
Focus on discipleship and a missional heart.
Bachelor Level qualification in Ministry or Theology, or equivalent experience, is considered highly desirable.
Conditions:
Equivalent of a 5 day per week position with salary and conditions based on recommendation of Churches of Christ Queensland.
Opportunity to join the cohort of pastors from across Churches of Christ Queensland as a wider network of support.
Other special conditions as per the Position Description.
Commencement date is expected to be Mid-February 2025 or to be negotiated.
Special Considerations:
All Leaders must hold and provide an appropriate Working with Children's and National Police Check as part of Safe Ministries in an ongoing capacity.
All Ministries and activities undertaken by the Lead Pastor are to be consistent with the mission, vision and values of Churches of Christ in Queensland (CofC QLD).
The Lead Pastor must maintain endorsement with CofC QLD.
All Staff must be aware of Little Mountain Church of Christ's vision and value statements and agree to uphold these values.
Will be asked to sign and abide by CofC QLD’s code of conduct for ministering persons.
Must undergo any, and all training necessary to enable them to perform duties safely and efficiently.
Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia.
Hold a current Australian driver's license.
