Main duties of the job You will support the Principal Pharmacist - Cancer Services and the Principal Pharmacist - Aseptic Services & QA, to deliver a specialist Pharmacy Service to patients receiving systemic anti-cancer treatments. You will be responsible for leading and developing the clinical pharmacy service for patients requiring systemic anticancer therapies within the Haematology and Oncology Division. You will have the opportunity to work as a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber to support the provision of systemic anticancer treatments to Haematology and Oncology patients.

Person Specification Qualifications and Education Essential MPharm or equivalent academic qualification Current membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council Postgraduate clinical specialist knowledge acquired through diploma level training i.e. Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy
Desirable Advanced training in preparative services including work in an aseptic unit, use of isolators, and quality assurance. Pharmacist Independent Non-medical prescriber (or willing to work towards completion)
Knowledge and Training Essential Clinical Oncology and Haematology knowledge
Experience Essential Extensive hospital (secondary care) experience Experience in the provision of clinical pharmacy services to oncology and haematology patients Experience providing clinical pharmacy services to critically ill patients requiring parenteral nutrition Experience in prescription verification, in-process checks, and final check/release of chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products.
