This post leads on Operational and Workforce for the Clinical Pharmacy Service. We are looking to recruit a pharmacist on a Fixed term contract / secondment to provide interim cover for at least 6 months. The focus initially during this time will be on: Developing the plans for trainee pharmacists for 25-26, ensuring we have a robust training programme and appropriate DPPs. Reviewing and updating the rotational pharmacist (band 6-7) programmes to support progression options. Although there is an expectation that there will be some on-site presence, as this is an interim post, a significant amount can be completed remotely. There is also option of part time hours. As a member of the Clinical Pharmacy Leadership team, you will be working closely with the other team Leads and the Lead Clinical Services Pharmacist supporting the overall development of the Pharmacy Clinical Service. We are a team that supports flexible working with >90% of Senior Clinical staff on a flexible working pattern. Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for: Overseeing the trainee, band 6 and band 7 rotational pharmacist programmes. Leading on values-based recruitment, induction and progression of all early years pharmacists. The effective delivery of the Weekend, late night and On-call services and where clinical services staff interact with the pharmacy operational service. Leading on the governance for Pharmacist Non-medical Prescribers for the Clinical Pharmacy Service. Deputising for the Lead Clinical Services Pharmacist, Director of Pharmacy at Departmental, Trust, local, regional, national or international level where appropriate usually on workforce and operational matters. Experience

Significant senior experience in hospital pharmacy. Significant experience in providing highly specialist service to a medical specialty or equivalent. Significant experience of successfully managing a pharmacy service/team. Teaching, mentoring and tutoring experience. Experience in community pharmacy or primary care. Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent. Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Post graduate diploma/MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or Equivalent. Independent Prescriber or working towards this with a view to qualification within 12 months (or willingness to work towards this). Train the trainer’s accreditation or HE KSS/laSE Deanery Practice Supervisors accreditation or equivalent. Member of RPS Faculty. Skills

Well-developed leadership, organisational, prioritisation, time management, personal effectiveness, analytical and problem solving skills of a consistently high standard, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. Innovation/implementation skills to develop Clinical Services. Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills essential to exchange highly complex information to colleagues, patients and relatives, clinicians and senior managers. Ability to develop and implement new policies procedures. Ability to think strategically and operationally. Team player with drive and enthusiasm. Computing skills to include a working knowledge of Pharmacy computer systems (e.g. JAC/Adios), the internet, Microsoft Office, Power Point, Word, Access and Excel and patient information systems. Demonstrable evidence of managing change involving staff in a discrete pharmacy area. Able to interpret highly complex data and present highly complex information in an informative manner to a wide range of individuals. Proven track record of successful budget management. Patient assessment and diagnostic skills within independent prescribing scope of practice. Influencing and managing a change in service at a Trustwide level. Other
