Lead Practitioner – Maths, University Collegiate School Bolton We are seeking an

exceptional Maths Lead Practitioner

to join our dedicated team at the UCS. In this

exciting new role , you will have the opportunity to provide

outstanding

Maths teaching and learning to students across key stages,

lead

the development and implementation of innovative Maths teaching strategies, and mentor and support Early Career Teachers (ECTs) in Maths pedagogy and practice. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the design and provision of an engaging Maths curriculum Analyse and use data to monitor progress, set targets, and plan effective lessons Promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity in Maths Whole School Teaching & Learning Priorities: We need to embed the way we deliver lessons at UCS through our DEAR (Do now, Engage, Activate and Review) lesson cycle so it is explicit in every lesson. Our expectations of our pupils have to be increased through: 1) Increased pace and challenge 2) Closing the loop through responsive teaching and excellent formative assessment 3) Extended writing and well-planned modelling with clear evidence of progression in books. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Proven track record of delivering outstanding Maths teaching and learning Experience in leading the development and implementation of Maths teaching strategies Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the Maths curriculum Passion for promoting a love of learning in Maths Why Join QUEST Academy Trust?
