We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
Experience of influencing stakeholders in difficult circumstances and diffusing challenging situations.
You know how to put users first as part of a commitment to user-centred design and know how to achieve this amongst competing priorities including achieving value for the business.
Ability to identify if a piece of work is complex or has risk attached to it, and what level of complexity or risk there is.
Experience of making decisions under pressure or with little information.
Have experience of mentoring and coaching product people and teams to deliver high-quality products and services.
Experience of leading products, setting the direction of travel, championing the product and setting the team up to succeed.
You and your role
As a Lead Product Manager, you will be at the forefront of designing, building and managing innovative products that connect millions of UK citizens with essential DWP services.
Using your expertise and experience you'll lead, guide and coach a high-performing team of product managers to success, owning the product roadmap and driving best practice, product excellence and performance metrics.
The role sits within our Common Digital Experience Team. You will drive forward the strategy for providing agent-facing digital capabilities. You will lead a team to iterate a live service with a user-base of over 100,000. You will also lead on the strategy for new cross-cutting products.
You'll be part of our Product Management community. We share our experiences and problems and talk to each other about what we are working on. It may not be easy at times, but you'll be well supported, and you'll get the learning and development opportunities that work for you, from book budgets to coaching, mentoring and formal learning and certifications.

You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working:
We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay:
We offer competitive pay of up to £77,740.
Pension:
You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £22,466 per year.
Holidays:
A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
