Summary:

Performs and leads complex assembly operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Under minimal supervision, performs substantially varied and complex tasks. Applies advanced skills to perform functions of the position within assigned area. Adapts new procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet the more complex requirements of the position. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. Orients, trains, assigns, and checks the work of other employees. Monitors team performance and motivates the team to perform. Must be able to distinguish colors. Knowledge of electricity and meters. Knowledge of production procedures. Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports. Understands and adheres to the company quality standards. Assumes supervisor/manager’s duties in their absence. Must be able to stand for entire shift.

Scope

Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. Completes assignments and facilitates the work activities of others; may coordinate work beyond own area. Proposes improvements to processes. Acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others but is not a supervisor. Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.

Education and Experience

High School w/6+ years’ experience or AA/AS/Technical School w/3-6 years’ experience.

Physical demands and abilities

Able to lift up to 35 pounds. Regularly perform repetitive tasks. Able to stand for entire shift. Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
